Field Sales Engineer – Access Control
New York City / Jersey City. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Physical Security, Access Control, and Integrated Security Systems, with expertise in conducting demos, supporting RFPs, and working closely with system integrators and technology partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Expansion: Play a pivotal role in introducing our Access Control products to the North American market
- Product Demonstrations: Conduct in-person and virtual demos for all our products to prospective clients and partners.
- Technical Webinars & Training: Host product overview webinars covering our product suite and specific technologies.
- RFP/RFQ/RFI Support: Review and respond to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs, ensuring competitive and compelling submissions.
- Solution Consulting & System Design: Provide technical consulting, system architecture design, and Bill of Materials (BOM) development for customers and integrators.
- Sales Support & Technical Expertise: Act as the technical SME (Subject Matter Expert) on sales calls, supporting the sales team with in-depth product knowledge and solution recommendations.
- Certification & Training Programs: Develop, create, and deploy online training and certification programs for system integrators and technology partners.
- Technology Integration Coordination: Identify and coordinate technology integrations with potential technology partners to enhance our access control ecosystem.
- Sales Operations & System Integrator Onboarding: Support the onboarding and training of new system integrators, ensuring they are equipped to sell and deploy our solutions.
- Dealer Partner Qualification: Prospect and qualify new dealer partners, expanding our channel partner network.
- Trade Show Participation: Coordinate, set up, and represent us at regional and national trade shows, showcasing our solutions to industry leaders and prospects.
Experience & Skills Required
- 10+ years of experience in Field Sales Engineering, Pre-Sales, or Technical Sales in the Physical Security or Access Control industry.
- Expertise in Access Control, Intercom, Video Management Software (VMS), and Intrusion Detection.
- Strong technical solutioning and system design experience, including hardware, firmware, and software integration.
- Hands-on experience with Access Control systems, credentialing, mobile authentication, RFID, NFC, and Biometric solutions.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills for conducting product demos and sales training.
- Experience with system integrator partnerships, dealer networks, and channel sales support.
- Ability to analyze RFPs and RFQs to create competitive responses.
- Familiarity with cloud-based SaaS solutions in the physical security space.
- Proficiency in technical documentation, training content development, and solution architecture.
